How a measurement works
Battery health is not the guess-o-meter on your dashboard. It is the usable capacity of the pack in kWh, and you can read it yourself.

Read your usable capacity
Most EVs will tell you, once you know where to look: the service or engineering menu on the car's own screen, a cheap OBD-II dongle, or a model-specific app such as LeafSpy on a Nissan Leaf.

Record it with your odometer
Enter the capacity you measured, the reading on your odometer and the date. Attach a screenshot or photo as proof if you have one — an admin checks it before the record is shown publicly.

Your measurements are plotted over distance and time, next to the capacity floor your manufacturer's battery warranty guarantees and the measurements other owners of the same model have submitted.
